The arts have always fascinated the world since its birth. In the beginning, there was the art of God, that of nature that was created with humans and then the production of sculpted objects to make tools and shapes were at the origin of the first human works. But people, sects and even peoples have slipped into idol worship, which has caused God to send prophets such as Moses to establish the 1st commandment in the Holy Bible, Exodus 20:3-6: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God […]".
Thus, art must be used for other purposes, such as ornaments, family portraits, contemporary landscapes, or for other forms of art such as impressionism, the arts of letters and poetry sometimes involving a part of calligraphy, without forgetting music which is as vast as visual art, etc. Nowadays, we also combine the art of music with that of video imagery, sometimes including special effects. For the representation of idols is equivalent to original sin (the forbidden fruit = the forbidden idols) in a different form from the organic fruit.
But Christians must not invent rules such as removing images of stars, mannequins, figureheads, even the Christmas tree (under the pretext that it is pagan), representations of Jesus and Angels, etc. For an idol is a representation that "replaces" the Eternal, and therefore they are not necessarily figureheads, for example, used in commemoration. The "idols" are only those who replace the Eternal, his Holy Angels and his true Prophets (the nuance is that false prophets are not admitted). The true prophets are those who write holy laws approved by God, not those who preach in the church. Muhammad is not a prophet because he did not establish any holy law, except prohibitions here and there which are ordinary politics that are obsolete.
